Stranger Things Actors Slated to Get a Substantial Raise

Stranger Things, a Netflix original series that came out on July 15, 2016, has been wildly popular and successful since the series started. Now about to begin season 3 in April of 2018, the award-winning series has won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2016, and received eighteen Emmy nominations. With the outstanding performance of the series, the actors are slated to get enormous raises for the new eight-episode season.

The salary contracts were negotiated and signed in March, and the actors were all separated into “tiers”. Tier A is the highest paid tier at $350,000 per episode. It consists of Winona Ryder and David Harbour. Tier B actors will make $250,000 per episode. The actors included in Tier B are Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, and Gaten Matarazzo. Tier C actors, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery, Natalia Dyey, are making $150,00 per episode. The series break out star, Millie Bobby Brown who plays the character “Eleven”, is believed to be making more than the Tier B youngsters, but this has not been confirmed.

Stranger Things was a creation of Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer. Commonly referred to as “The Duffer Brothers”, these twins always work on everything together as a duo. Their talent and artistic eye is emphasized and reformed while writing and producing the Stranger Things. They mainly create works in the genre of sci-fi and horror, and some of their past work includes the 2015 horror film Hidden and the hit series Wayward Pines. The Duffer Brothers co-produced Wayward Pines along with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.

Stranger Things is a sci-fi horror series set in the 1980s. In the first season, a young boy is missing and a strange girl named Eleven appears and uses psychokinesis to help the boy’s friends look for him. The show is set in a fictional town in Indiana. The subsequent seasons are about the characters dealing with the consequences and effects from the first season.

Stranger Things Actors Get Pay Raise for Season 3

Stranger Things on Netflix is a show that has been sweeping the nation. It seem like everywhere you turn, someone is talking about it. With such excellent ratings for the 1st and 2nd seasons, the actors on the show will be getting a pay raise for the 3rd. The child actors will be making more than 12 times their original pay, while the adult actors will be making up to $350,000 per episode! These new deals went into effect last week and the 3rd season of the show will start filming on April 23th.

All of the main actors are split up into tiers. Each tier gets paid a certain amount. Tier A is Winona Ryder and David Harbour. They make up to $350,000 per episode. Tier B is made up of all of the kids and they make up to $250,000 per episode Finally, Tier C is made up of all the teenagers and they make around $150,000 per episode.

With that being said, no one really knows which tier Millie Bobby Brown lands in. Pretty much the only thing that is known about her right now is that she separated herself from the other kids in the negotiations last year and that she’s making at least the same amount. There are some sources, though, that say she could be making up to $350,000 per episode. There are still other people who don’t think she would be making as much as Ryder, who has been working for 3 decades and been nominated for an Oscar, but that she makes up her own tier at about $300,000.

This is a huge pay increase because the children were only making around $20,000, Ryder was making around $100,000, and Harbour was making around $80,000 for the first 2 seasons. They also each got a $60,000 bonus once the higher ups saw how much of a hit the show was.

Another great thing thing is that Stranger Things has been an opening for the actors. In fact, quite a few of them have gotten roles on other big name TV shows and movies. In addition, some of them have even ventured out into other areas, such as fashion. These kids can only go up from here and they’re sure to have very successful careers in front of them.
